Daniel G. Alfert
Software and AI engineer with quantitative depth. Backend, data-driven systems, modeling, and production reliability.
I studied Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Granada, then moved to Copenhagen for an MSc in Quantum Information Science, where my thesis used tensor networks to study how noise affects quantum circuits. My focus is on backend services, analytical tools, and production systems. I care about getting things right, not just getting them done.
How I work
Test assumptions, verify outcomes, document methodology so results are reproducible and explainable.
Balance ideal solutions against constraints to deliver the best result within deadlines and resources.
Make reasoning explicit and design systems that are straightforward to understand and modify.
Write for readability and maintainability over cleverness.
Projects
An end-to-end retrieval pipeline matching consultants to client engagements by skills, experience, and fit.
A centralized web tool helping researchers organize papers, models, and ideas in one place.
End-to-end deployment of a CV classification model during an applied AI internship at Avanade.
